Comfy & Stylish Maternity Clothes for a Modern Mom-to-be
The changes that happen to a woman’s body during pregnancy can make some think that they would look horrible during pregnant. This should not be the case though. There are many fun ways to dress the baby bump and the extra weight and still look stylish while maintaining the comfort.
Gone are days when women used to hide their beautiful bumps behind layers upon layers of horrible clothing.
If we can borrow a leaf from the celebrities, we can come up with a list of stylish but comfortable maternity wear for expecting women. From Kim Kardashian’s tight maternity wear to Kate Middleton’s sophisticated look, the sky is literally the limit here. Take a look below.
Maxi Dresses: These are comfortable and flowy. They are the perfect way to dress up without dressing up. Just slip into one and step out. Prints brighten up the look and help hide the growing middle section.
Jackets: Jackets are a great way of hiding the bump especially in the early months. You can wear them with dresses or with jeans.
Denim Style: Maternity jeans are also a great go to maternity style. Wear them with a shirt and jacket or with a baggy stripped top. Stockings and leggings worn with tunic tops also work really well.
Short It: Drawing the attention to your legs with a short dress not only hides your bump, it also looks very stylish. You can also try a tunic dress if you are daring enough.
Long Skirts: This look is perfect for someone who loves maxi dresses. When you feel the need to go a little different, a long skirt will do the job. They are comfortable and you can experiment with prints and details. Try a slit skirt like below.
Dresses: Kate Middleton owns this look. The shift dress is comfortable, stylish and sophisticated.
