Breastfeeding a Toddler
Yes there are parts of breastfeeding that are not so fun, but there are others which are good and your little baby is one of those.
Some women think that breastfeeding will cause their breasts to sag. This is not true. As a matter of fact, it is pregnancy and not breastfeeding that causes the sagging of the boobs. What’s even more, studies have shown that extended breastfeeding (for longer than 2 yrs) ensures that your breasts return to almost their original size and shape when you are done nursing.
Others think that they can just substitute breast milk for formula. As much as it has been made to be as close to the real thing as possible, comparing the same and thinking they are the same is like trying to convince us that soya meat is the same as meat.
Going back to work should not be an excuse as to why you are not breastfeeding. You can express milk at work and still maintain your milk supply. To ensure that you are able to pump enough milk, ensure that you invest in a quality breast pump.
