If you're not Using Softcare Diapers, you Should Probably Start Right Now

An average baby uses about 8,000 diapers before learning how to use the potty. Of those, about 3,000 are used in the first year alone. Given that an average diaper costs approximately 25 Kenyan shillings, you can expect to spend 200,000/= on diapers alone! That's a huge amount of money!

Softcare Baby Diapers
Some friends from work brought me Softcare Baby Diapers after I delivered my second baby and that was my diapering turning point. Compared to the ones I was using before, Softcare mini diapers were a little larger which was perfect since my newborn was growing at an incredible rate.  I also liked the absorbency and how snugly the fasteners held.

Like most moms, I've always been apprehensive about other diaper brands. You stick to what you know because experience has taught me that you can get really disappointed when you decide to experiment. You might go for a cheaper alternative only to get home and realize that the diaper you just bought is not even breathable. No one want to deal with the painful diaper rash or a diaper that cannot hold urine for more than 2 hours.

The next time I went shopping, I was curious to see how much the Softcare diapers cost and my mind was blown away! The Jumbo pack had 48 diapers and went for just 570 Kenyan Shillings! That's less than 12 shillings a piece. That's 10 Shillings less than the brand I had used on my first born and then the second born up to that point. See the price comparison with the other diapers in the market below:

Had I not used it before, I would never have touched it. I would have assumed that the low pricing had something to do with its quality. Thank God I now knew better. Needless to say, I have never bought another brand to this day. We are now using the medium size for kids between 6.1 to 9kgs. The large pack comes with 42 diapers and the price is still 570=. That's about 13 Shillings 50 cents a piece :-)

Softcare Diapers are made of cotton with a triple-layered absorbent system that quickly and evenly absorbs fluid to effectively protect your baby from wetness keeping him/her skin dry and healthy. They are very light and the sides have an extra leak protection layer to prevent those nasty little accidents.

Given the quality and the price, I can confidently say that this diaper is the best one in the country at the moment. The fact that I'll have saved about 80,000 shillings by the time my baby turns 3 is just the cherry on top of the frosting.

If you are as frugal as I am and would like to know how to save even more on your baby, read my earlier post Biggest Baby Expenses and How to Save on Them.

Have you used the Softcare Diapers and how did you find them? If you've never used, would you like to try them? Let us know in the comments section below.

Until we see each other again,
